who we are

We're a small but mighty team working from within the community sector in Cornwall, with primary care, to create transformational change on the climate, health and nature axis. We work across borders, at system level, talk with everyone, join dots, inspire change, pull in more resource and funding for our green genius projects on the ground, and never knowingly give up. ;)

our story

We're based inside Volunteer Cornwall, a Cornish charity supporting the health sector, and which has been sitting at the back - or the front - of hundreds of health sector meetings over the last few years, saying ".... erm, and climate change". Then in 2021 we invested some of our reserves into a very part-time member of staff to say it even louder, and more pointedly.

Then a wee bunch of thoughtful and determined clinicians hunted down some money and, with Volunteer Cornwall and Cornwall Council's Public Health team's help, bought a megaphone. That megaphone is a small but perfectly formed team of part-time community sector, and clinical, staff, who are furiously joining the dots between human health, planetary health; community and statutory sectors; physical and mental health; primary and secondary care; climate and nature; local and national; and everything you see in brief on this small site. We support the Cornwall Greener Practice Network and the fabulous mothership of the national Greener Practice Network - and everyone who works with them.

Our first year used that megaphone to good end, building unprecedented relationships with busy GP practices across Cornwall (and further afield), rooting out, fostering and rocket fuelling brilliant action to invest in human and planetary health. We developed a fantastic relationship with our ICB, who are now funding us in this, our second year to help pursue its by now mandatory Net Zero targets; and a fab relationship with SW Greener NHS, who are funding some of our time to extend our reach across our vast region, and gather Really Useful Data.

So whoever you are: Welcome.

We'd love to hear from you; and if you want to get stuck in - drop us a line!
